Although it looks as if not very much as been changed between the two pictures, in reality it was rather tough. The hardest part was the ear, which, as you may notice, is not present in the first image. In order to correct this, I needed to find a picture of an ear drawn by the same artist (Mark Brooks),

The original and finished ear
Notably, the background behind Victor is not perfect, and it is obvious from the large brown square that some edits have been made. I realize this, and it was not ever my intention to correct the background behind him as well, for that would have been far too difficult, as I have no idea what would go there. However, the purpose of this edit, to create a decent shot of Victor, has succeeded, even if there are some minor imperfections. These occur most notably in the color of Victor's left shoulder, which I had to add in. Despite my few attempts, the color is still far too uniform to look natural. There are also a few minor imperfections on the ear, which do not show up in the small pictures above. In the large desktop background I made, however, they are visible. But overall, I am quite impressed by how well the edits turned out.
In case anyone reading this page desires this edited graphic for their personal use, I will gladly offer it to them. I have created several versions of it, so select whichever one you want to use, and use it however you want.
Medium Image - Probably the best quality one, about a 400 by 600 pixel JPG image. Fairly large, at 114 KB.
Transparent Background - A larger image of Victor with the background removed and made transparent, in case anyone wants to add in their own background. About 450 by 300 pixels, and saved as a transparent GIF that clocks in at only 50 KB. The edges are slightly jagged, due to the GIF compression, however.
